🔔 New paper alert!

We show how mothers pass on the memory of stress to their progeny by packaging miRNAs produced in intestine (Soma) along with yolk and deliver to the oocyte and embryo in C. elegans.

I started this project in Germano Cecere’s lab in 2020, where we purified yolk and identified the miRNA packaged with yolk. Big shout out to the valiant effort by Névé to show role of these yolk inherited miRNA in stress resilience in progeny!

Very happy to see this study finally online! https://www.nature.com/articles/s41594-026-01816-5
